Privacy policy

Last updated: July 2026

Elementic Brands LLC ("we", "us", "our") operates mendovi.com. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we hold it, who we share it with and what you can require us to do with it. We collect the minimum needed to sell you a device and get it delivered, and we do not sell personal data to anyone.

1. A Note on Health Information

Mendovi does not ask for health information and does not want it. You do not need to tell us about a diagnosis, a condition or a symptom to buy anything on this site, and there is no field anywhere in checkout that asks for one.

If you volunteer something about your health in an email, for example while asking whether a device suits your situation, we use it only to answer that question. We do not add it to a marketing profile, we do not share it with advertising partners, and we delete it on request. Please do not send us medical records or test results.

2. What We Collect

Given by you

  • Order data: name, email, phone number, billing address and delivery address. Payment details go directly to our payment providers; we never receive or store a full card number.
  • Account data: email and password, if you choose to create an account.
  • Correspondence: anything you send by contact form, email or phone, including attached photos of a fault.
  • Reviews and content: reviews, photos or comments you submit.

Collected automatically

  • Device and browser data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type and screen size.
  • Usage data: pages viewed, time on page, referring site, clicks and navigation path.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: see section 6.

3. Why We Use It, and On What Legal Basis

For customers in the United Kingdom and the EU we act as data controller under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR respectively. For customers in the United States we comply with applicable state privacy laws.

4. Who We Share It With

We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. We share only what a given provider needs, and only with:

  • Shopify, our ecommerce platform, which hosts the store and processes orders.
  • Payment providers, Shopify Payments and PayPal, which handle card data directly under PCI DSS.
  • Delivery carriers, which receive the name, address, phone and email needed to deliver and notify.
  • Email providers, for order confirmations and, where you have consented, marketing.
  • Analytics providers such as Google Analytics, in aggregated or pseudonymised form.
  • Advertising partners such as Google and Meta, for campaign measurement, only where you have consented.
  • Legal authorities, where required by law, regulation or legal process.

5. How Long We Keep It

  • Order records: kept for as long as needed to fulfil the order and for 6 years afterwards, for tax and legal purposes.
  • Support correspondence: kept for up to 2 years, then deleted.
  • Marketing consent records: kept until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent, plus a short period to evidence the withdrawal.
  • Analytics data: retained in aggregated or pseudonymised form.
  • Deletion requests are actioned within 30 days, subject to records we are legally required to keep.

6. Cookies and Tracking

  • Essential cookies run the store, keep your basket and complete checkout securely. The site cannot function without them.
  • Analytics cookies, such as Google Analytics, tell us how visitors find and use the site so we can improve it. Data is aggregated or pseudonymised.
  • Advertising cookies, such as the Google tag and the Meta Pixel, measure advertising performance. These are set only with your consent.

In the United Kingdom and the EU, analytics and advertising cookies are set only after you consent. You can withdraw consent at any time through the cookie controls on the site, or block cookies in your browser. Blocking essential cookies will break checkout.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may ask us to:

  • Give you access to the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct anything inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Delete your data, subject to legal retention requirements.
  • Restrict how we process it.
  • Port it to you or another provider in a machine readable format.
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests, or to direct marketing at any time.
  • Withdraw consent for anything based on consent, including marketing.

Email contact@mendovi.com to exercise any of these. We respond within 30 days and we do not charge for it.

8. Marketing Emails

  • We only send marketing to people who have opted in.
  • Every marketing email has a one click unsubscribe link.
  • Unsubscribing never stops essential emails about an order you have placed.

9. Security

  • The site runs over SSL/TLS encryption throughout.
  • Card details are handled by PCI DSS compliant processors and never reach our systems.
  • Access to personal data is limited to the people who need it to do their job.
  • We take all reasonable steps to protect your data, while acknowledging that no transmission over the internet can be guaranteed completely secure.

10. International Transfers

Some of our providers operate outside your country, for example Shopify's infrastructure in Canada and the United States alongside our United Kingdom operations. Where personal data crosses a border we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

11. Children

The site is not intended for children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Third Party Links

Our pages sometimes link to other websites. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, and we would encourage you to read their policies before giving them anything.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. The current version always sits on this page with its "Last updated" date, and material changes are communicated by email where we can.

14. Complaints

  • United Kingdom: you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113.
  • EU: you may contact your local Data Protection Authority.
  • United States: you may contact your state Attorney General's office.

We would appreciate the chance to put things right first, so please contact us before escalating.
